Sadie Miller Starrett

Sadie Miller Starrett, age 96, of Gulfport passed away December 13, 2012 in Gulfport at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary Hammons; her husbands, Ralph H. Miller and Arthur Starrett; her sisters, Gladys Johnson, Edith Cox, and Ethel Dubuisson; and her son in law, Stanley Pannell.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy June Miller Pannell and Patricia ""Patty"" McKinley and her husband Chuck; her grandchildren, Brian Pannell and his wife Teresa, Ronnie Pannell and his wife Jennifer, and Allison McKinley; and her great grandchildren, Ashlee Pannell Harris, Douglas Pannell, Lorabeth Pannell, James Warren Pannell, Daniel Alan Pannell, and Bianca McKinley; and her great great grandchild, Wyatt Pannell.
She was the oldest living member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and was a charter member of the church. She was also a member of the Inspirations at Grace Memorial and sang in the choir there. Involved in many things throughout her life, she helped begin Meals on Wheels and delivered the first meal. She was also active in the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 51.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday December 15, 2012 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 2301 23rd Ave, Gulfport, MS. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior at the church.
Interment will follow services at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
