Ruth Ellen Murray, 78, of Gulfport passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents George and Alice Carter and many beloved brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Murray; her children, Dianna Murray Benefield (Boyd) and Ronnie Murray; grandchildren, Porter Benefield, Carter Benefield, Sarah Benefield, Laura Murray and Colten Murray; a sister, host of brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Ruth was born in Arkansas, but had been a resident of Gulfport, MS since 1967. She worked in floral arranging for 40 years, having taught flower arranging classes for Gayfer's Dept. Store and delivering for Adam's Flowers and Cardinal Flowers.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren! She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and we are better off for having her in our lives. She will be missed every day.
