Russell Palmer Wrentmore, United States Navy Retired, age 89 of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Throughout his twenty years of honorable service in the US Navy, he received many awards and recognitions. Following his military career, Russell began working with General Electric in Cleveland, Ohio. After retiring from General Electric, he later moved to Memphis, TN, followed by Palmetto, FL, and most recently resided at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS.
Russell enjoyed fishing, photography, traveling and drinking beer. He loved his family unconditionally and was a great father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Wrentmore was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Nola Wrentmore; his late wife, Loretta Frances Wrentmore; and all of his siblings except one sister.
He is survived by his son, Andre Wrentmore (Donna); his sister, Hazel Jaklitch; and his granddaughter, Brittni Paris (Henry) and their children, Rose and Lee.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in Anna Maria Island, FL.
