Russell Tripp

Russell Leighton Tripp, Sr, age 49, of Long Beach, passed away on February 23, 2013 In Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Ameilia Tripp of Westport, MA and Kenneth and Cora Russell of So. Dartmouth, MA.
He leaves behind his parents, Carolyn and Leighton Tripp and his sister, Lynn Tripp Guardia, all of Long Beach; four sons, Russell L. Tripp, Jr of Mobile, AL, Ryan Davis of Long Beach, and Chris Dahl and Kevin Tripp, both of Pass Christian; two daughters, Lauren Bradshaw of Long Beach and Christine Tripp of Mobile, AL; a special niece and nephew, Jourdan and Connor Guardia of Long Beach; and numerous other beloved nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful Papa to five grandchildren, Madison, Lane, Andrew, Hayden, and Elijah and two soon to be grandchildren. He is also survived by his Godfather and Uncle, Ralph W. Tripp, III of New Bedford, MA and his Godmother, Daylene E. Siwik of Manchester, CT; his wife, Karen Perronne Tripp of Long Beach; former wife, Tammy Hover Robare of Mobile, AL; and his special friend, Christina Gonzales.
He leaves behind many friends and extended family whose lives he touched. He left us way too soon; he did so much for so many.
Born May 7, 1963 in New Bedford, MA to Carolyn Russell Tripp and Leighton Hull Tripp, Russell attended Long Beach High School and later worked for Blackmer Construction for over 20 years.
Russell had a love for baseball and coached Little League in Long Beach and West Harrison. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and racing his rail car.
""And in the end, it is not the Years in your Life that counts; it is the Life in your Years."" Russell lived life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed.
There will be a celebration of Russell's life on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach - visitation for family and friends beginning at 6:00 PM and a funeral service at 7:30 PM.
