Lt. Russell L. Marcoux, USN, Ret., 91 of St. Martin, MS passed away on March 20, 2016 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Russell was born to Ernest and Marie Marcoux on February 15, 1925 in Fall River, MA where he spent his early childhood, with sisters, Lorraine and Gertrude until joining the U.S. Navy at age 17. As a young recruit, he and wife, Nancy, were blessed with three children Michael, Kelly, and Pamela.
He dedicated 30 years to the military and in that time served in WW II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Later with a LDO commission, he later served as Aviation Maintenance Officer, Ordinance Handling Officer and Production Officer. After retiring from the U.S. Navy in 1970, he continued his love for the military and worked as an editor for ""Mech"" Magazine in the Federal Civil Service, retiring in 1990.
As a retiree, and after marrying Muriel, (Mickie), in 1996, they enjoyed hobbies such as golf, gardening, and bowling.
Ordained into the ministry by Revival Life Church, he and Mickie served in pastoral care until they entered the mission field in West Virginia restoring a community church and working toward opening an orphanage.
In December 2013, Russell and Mickie moved to St. Martin, MS continuing retirement with her daughter, and family.
He is survived by wife, Mickie Marcoux and children: Michael Marcoux, Kelly Izykowski, Pamela Catindig and husband Troy, Crystal Savoy, and Lorna Bolduc and husband Rick; grandchildren: David Bolduc, Monica Seymour, Taylor Waldron, Sarah Bolduc, Melanie Bell, , Haley Catindig; great-grandchildren: Carter Barton, Hadleigh Barton, Brayden Seymour, and Mackenzie Harvey.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery. A gathering to celebrate his life will follow at Noon at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME'S Reception Center, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd at Washington Ave, Ocean Springs.
