Russell G. Heath

Russell G. Heath, 76, of Ocean Springs passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
After graduating from Wood Township High School, Robertsdale, PA in 1954 Russell enlisted in the US Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service. He then worked and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in Biloxi. Until he became ill Russell worked at the Biloxi Courthouse.
Russell was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a star athlete in high school, loved sports and was an avid NASCAR fan and he never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and Zach and Roxey his mini dachshunds.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Heath and Louella Cooley and brother Thomas Heath.
He is survived by the love of his life of 55 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Heath, daughter, Jane Brusilow (Evan) of Panama City Beach, FL; sons, Andrew Heath (Marilyn) of Sneads, FL, Timothy Heath (Cherri) of Ocean Springs, MS, and Gregory Heath (Dana) of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Christina Heath (Brady), Eran Brusilow, Wesley Chance (Amanda), Ryan Heath (Janae), Christopher Heath (Tracy), Riley Heath and Avery Heath; great-grandchildren Gracie Hill, Gryden Hill, Mandalyn Chance and Bryce Heath; brother, Irvin Heath; sister, Martha Whited; and stepbrothers, Mike Cooley, Roy Cooley, Terry Cooley and Wayne Cooley
The memorial service will be at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, where friends may visit from 12:15 p.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the Humane Society (www.hssm.org).
