Mrs. Ruby (Sweetie Pie) McLemore, age 79, resident of Long Beach, passed away on September 1, 2013, peacefully at home with the help of hospice and her loving daughters and grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lottie Foster Strickland and Wilbur Strickland; her brothers, George, Wilbur (Rachel); her sister's, Francis and Arlene.
Sweetie Pie's house was always open for all her friends and family. The door was open for anyone to come in and have a cup of coffee and listen to what she thought was going on...Which she had no 'qualms' to let you know about what you needed to do...
Sweetie Pie is survived by her daughters, Lita Ladner, Rhonda McLemore, and the 'other' 'favorite daughter', Tammy McGill' who never left her side and one grandson, Joshua McLemore all of Long Beach; her dear brothers, Marlin (Mamie) Huey and (Lettie), so many friends and family that Sweetie Pie adored to name...She loved you all but would try and keep you in check all the time!!!
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 10:00am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
