Ruby Alma Cuevas

Ruby Cuevas, 64, of Perkinston, MS, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Slidell, LA.
Mrs. Cuevas was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Saxon & Flossie Mae Blanchard; foster parents, Houston & Lugenia Ladner; brothers, Jerry Saxon, Earl Dean Saxon and Kenneth W. Saxon; and sister, Shirley Broussard.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Harlan Cuevas of Necaise Crossing, Perkinston; her children, Melissa (Matthew) Martin of Kiln, Sherry (Philip) Petty of Long Beach and Christopher Cuevas of Perkinston; grandchildren, Preston Martin, Taylor Cobb, Justin Martin, Brody Cobb, Kiley Cuevas, Madison Cuevas, Aubrey Cox and Maverick Petty; one god-child, Pamela Ladner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cuevas was a native of Pass Christian and has been a long-time resident of Perkinston, MS in Hancock County. She graduated from Pass Christian High School. She worked for many years as a seamstress in a garment factory in Pass Christian. She loved fishing & the outdoors, loved playing hairstylist with everyone's hair, loved spending time with her grandkids, and loved gardening & flowers.
