Ruby Templeton Anderson, age 95, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Ruby was always a bright star. She was named Ruby Jewel Templeton by her parents, Beatrice & Nathan Henry Templeton in Louisville, MS, where she was born. She married the love of her life Edward H. Anderson while attending MSU. They were married for 73 years.
Mrs. Anderson spent her adult life on the Gulf Coast. She was very active in school projects and became a licensed cosmetology instructor. She was known as a loving wife and mother. She remained that bright star all her life by being named "Sunshine" by her grandchildren. Ruby would always brighten your day with kindness, love, wisdom and support. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband and her brother, Aubry (Etoil) Templeton. Survivors include her only son, Mickey (Don) Anderson; her only daughter, Natha Ann (Phil) Anderson; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December, 21st at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Friends may visit from 1:00 until the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
