Royce Junior Lamb, 48, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, in Kiln.
Mr. Lamb was born in Bay Minette, Alabama, and spent his working life in South Mississippi. He was a member of Diamondhead Baptist Church and worked as a Construction Contractor in Hancock County for the past twenty years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ovis and Annie Flowers, and his mother, Annette Fredrickson.
He is survived by his wife Melanie Farlow Lamb; his son, Ty Lamb; daughter, Ashley Young; his parents, Royce and Linda Whitehead; and brothers, James Lamb, Michael Lamb (Abbie), Rodney Whitehead, Roxanne Whitehead, Rebecca Whitehead, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Royce was known to all for his ready smile, quick wit, and love of family. He was a devoted father and loved to share outdoor time with family and friends-- hunting, fishing, and visiting around the grill on a Saturday afternoon.
He loved his trade and was a man well suited to a tool belt. He made all who met him laugh and shake their heads at his good humor and his zest for life.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln-Delisle Road in Pass Christian. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at Diamondhead Baptist Church, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
