Roy Austin Woodby, 89, died Sunday, the 16th of November at his home in Biloxi, MS.
Born in 1924 in Townsend, Tennessee, Mr. Woodby served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked in Michigan in the automotive industry and as a civilian contractor at Eglin Air Force Base.
He loved to travel and garden. He and his late wife spent many summers traveling in an RV across America, Canada, Mexico, and their favorite place, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Cline Woodby, who died earlier this year. He is survived by his brother, Jeremiah Woodby of Townsend, TN; sister, Pearl Raleigh of Pontiac, Michigan; sister, Mary Layman of Arizona; brother, Bill Woodby of North Prince George, Virginia; niece, Debbie Waddell of Maryville, TN; and several other nieces and nephews.
