On April 27, 2015 Roy Clifford Patton, born October 12, 1937, age 77, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord in his home in Saucier with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Beatrice Patton, their first child (unnamed); sisters, Elizabeth Patton and Crystal Daniels LaBauve; brothers, Cleveland Patton, Delmer Patton and Richard Patton.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Verlean Naramore Patton, who faithfully stood by his side for 57 years; sons, Wade Patton (Shirley), Rocky Patton (Thresa); daughter, Lana Patton; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one unborn great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Louise House; Eleanor Jay Tubbs, and Rosalee Sauls Pearcey (Phil); multiple nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in McHenry. A burial will follow the service at Saucier Cemetery in Saucier, MS.
