Roy Leslie

Roy Leslie, age 74, of Gulfport, passed away on July 11, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Leslie and Christine Gibbons; and a son, Donald Leslie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Diane Mangano Leslie of Gulfport; four children, Ronald Leslie (Christine), Paul Leslie, Karen Havard, and Mark Leslie, and their mother, Beverly Carver Leslie, all of Long Beach; two siblings, Wanda Price (Joe) of Long Beach and Jack Leslie of Tupelo, MS; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother in law, Elaine Mangano of Jackson, MS; and his sisters in law, Dona Mangano of Gulfport, Gayle Mangano of Long Beach, and Gina Dowd (Bob) of Jackson.
His greatest loves were his police work where he served with the Gulfport Police Auxiliary, working with the mounted unit and the Harrison County Sheriff's Department where he helped form the motorcycle division and retired as Captain under Sheriff Joe Price and horses where he was a horse trainer and team ropper. He loved his dogs, raising and training them. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens, Gulfport.
