Roy William Bullock, of Saucier MS, age 70 entered Heaven on the wings of a snow-white dove on March 7, 2017 in Jackson, MS. He was born to R.J. and Dixie Bullock on September 21, 1946.
He was a 1969 graduate of USM and honorably discharged from the US Army in 1975. He was retired from Mississippi Power Company after 36 years of service.
He is survived by his loving mother, and his wife and soul mate of 32 years, Wanda Everett Bullock and his children, Susan Bullock Boshart (Wayne), Michael Bullock (Ashley), Cindy Ezell Leidigh (Chuck) and Candy Ezell Palmer (Louis), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his siblings, Patricia Bullock Rogers (Frank), Rick Bullock (Blythe), Janet Bullock Hamm (Ricky) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Roy had a fun-loving, entertaining personality. He always had a joke or story to entertain his friends and family. He loved to fish in his back yard and play with his grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as "Popeye". He loved camping with family and friends. He was a talented poet, singer and writer of gospel music and even had one recorded "Don't Look Down" in the 1970's. He had a tender soul. "So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross, till my trophies at last I lay down. I will cling to the old rugged Cross and exchange it someday for a crown."
Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 6 - 8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 8:30 am Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
