Obituary

Rosemarie Hebert, age 88 of Ocean Springs, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Elfriede Mols; her beloved husband of 44 years, Carey John Hebert; and her sister.

Rosemarie is survived by two nieces in Germany and her close family friend, Terry Thomas.

Rosemarie was born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, where she met the love of her life, Mr. Hebert, while he was stationed there during his military service. The couple was married on May 10, 1963, in Kitzingen, Germany, and began a life of adventure together. As a proud military wife, Rosemarie embraced the opportunities that came with military life, traveling throughout Europe before returning to the United States. They were stationed in Georgia and California before ultimately settling in Mississippi following Mr. Hebert's retirement, where they enjoyed being closer to his family.

Rosemarie took great pride in supporting her husband throughout his military career and cherished the friendships she made along the way. She loved spending time outdoors, especially working in her yard, and enjoyed walking as a way to relax and stay active. She was also a devoted member of the German Club and treasured the time she spent with her many friends.

Rosemarie was known for her kind and generous heart, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering resilience. Despite facing health challenges, she never allowed them to define her. She met each day with strength, optimism, and a smile, inspiring those around her with her positive outlook and enduring love for life.
