Rose Sylvia Royals

Rose Sylvia Royals, age 79 and a resident of Saucier, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Royals was born in Lumberton on May 21, 1936. She loved sewing, crocheting, needle point, cooking, and TV game shows. She enjoyed any activity her grandsons were involved in. Her favorite time of the year was Mardi Gras and Christmas and she always had the most beautifully decorated tree. Of all the joys in life, her family was the greatest. Mrs. Royals also loved growing flowers, especially African violets and roses.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin E. Royals; her parents, Leonard F. and Nell E. Sylvia; her sisters, Frances Ladner, Dorothy Legg, and Alma Jackson and her brother, Leonard F. ""Junior"" Sylvia, Jr.
Mrs. Royals is survived by her sister, Fredna Fowler; her son, Justin Royals and his fiance, Stephanie; her grandsons, Ayden Royals, Daulton Royals, and Austin Darnell; her great grandson, Levi Mcallister; the Beechum and the Mcallister families, who were friends, but she always thought of them as family; and her many nephews and nieces that she loved dearly.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Lakeview Nursing Center in Gulfport for their care and love they have given Mrs. Royals for the past two years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015, at 10am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
