Rose Marie DeJarnatt Glass, age 86, of Diamondhead, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Mae DeJarnatt; her father, Ralph Henry DeJarnatt; and her brothers, Thomas “Tommy” DeJarnatt and William “Bill” DeJarnatt.

Rose is survived by her children, Ben Ralph Glass, Karen DeJarnatt Glass, Annie Marie Glass Grinnell (Bill); her sister, Suzanne “Suzie” DeJarnatt; her grandchildren, Kristen M. Foxx, Kari A. Foxx (Eric), Terry “TJ” Foxx (Megan), Bailey Rogers (Breanna), and Gracie A. Grinnell; her great grandchildren, Bryce H. Wright, Audryna L. Palmer, Kyla M. Rose is a native of Windom, TX, and a graduate of Windom High School, class of 1955. Although she never served in the military herself, she was very proud of her Navy son and Coast Guard grandson. Proudly working in sales most of her adult life, she began in car sales. She then transitioned to Fine Jewelry sales for Macy’s, JC Penney and worked for Pav & Broome Fine Jewelry from 2003~2022 with many clients who loved her. Her final job was working as a liaison and trainer for Horne Fine Jewelry by request from the Hornes as they stated because “no one could sell like Rose”. She worked there from early 2023 until her diagnosis and retirement.

She won many golf tournaments in her lifetime, with the claim to fame of sometimes beating men “From the Men’s tee” all 100 pounds and 5’1” of her tiny stature. She sang beautifully, being requested to provide the entertainment at the county club shows. She won many top salesperson months and awards throughout her career. Golf, serving as the lady’s club champion for many years. She loved lighthearted movies, like watching her Hallmark channel “where the ending is always the same, but that’s okay”. Her favorite movie was “Secretariat” having an affinity for that horse because she got the opportunity to meet him once.
