Rosalie A. Fisher, age 84, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Ms.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Powel “Bob” Fisher; her grandson, Christopher Dean “Chris” Jackson; her sisters, Eulalie Balius and Joyce Thibodeaux; her brothers, J.C. Boney, Lee G. Boney, Dennis “Perch” Boney, and Clemet Boney; and her parents Lee R. and Clemorse A. Boney.

She is survived by her son, Robert Christopher “Chris” Fisher (Darlene) of D’Iberville, MS; daughter, Linda Marie Jackson (Gary) of Gulfport, MS; grandchildren, Christopher M. Fisher, Nicole M. Fisher, Michelle N. Jackson, and Tyler A. Jackson; brother, John “Ryland” Boney. Rosalie leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Mrs. Fisher was born in D’Iberville MS. She was the second youngest of 8 children of a very close and happy family. She met and fell in love with her husband, Bob while he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base. They soon married and she began her life as a military wife with the love of her life. She was very happy being a mother of two and a homemaker. Rosalie loved being outdoors tending to her vegetable garden, and flowers, and fishing. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, reading and music.

After retiring from the United States Air Force, her husband, Bob’s background led him to employment with various Aerospace and National Defense contractors. This allowed them to travel and enjoy living in Florida, California and Colorado. They relished their time in the outdoors and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of these areas, before moving back home to Mississippi to retire in 1999.

As a widow, later in life, she enjoyed the companionship of a new love in her life, her dachshund, Rascal. She also took pleasure in going to the harbor to watch others fish and to feed the birds with her caregiver and dear friend, Ms. Gladys.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was proud of her family and loved them dearly. She had a heart of gold and would always help out wherever she could. Above all, she loved the Lord with all of her heart.
