Ronald Earl Schonewitz, age 73 from Saucier, MS, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jeanne G. Schonewitz; 4 children, 3 siblings, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Schonewitz was a graduate of Harrison Central High School where he excelled at basketball. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and retired from the City of Gulfport after many years of service.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 29, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
