Ronald Robinson, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 14, 2023 at the age of 83. Ronald was born in Gulfport on November 28, 1939, to Eddie Brown and Doris Randall Robinson. He graduated from Gulfport High School where he was class favorite and a star halfback and two-year letterman on Coach Lindy Callahan’s 1958 and 1959 Gulfport Commodore football team.
Ronald was an eight-year veteran of the Mississippi National Guard. For most of his career, he was a popular and respected fixture in downtown Gulfport, where he worked in men's clothing at Elmer's men's store, and later for M Salloum's Toggery. He retired from Dillard’s in 2005.
Ronald truly loved living on the Mississippi Coast. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time catching Speckle Trout, Flounder, and Crabs with his brothers, Gary, Maurice, and twin brother Donald Robinson. He could catch fish when no one else could!

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Robinson Carr, her husband Thad, and grandson, Hunter Carr, all of Decatur, Georgia, his brother Gary Robinson (Barbara) of Gulfport, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
