Ronald Charles "Ron" Pierotich, age 85 of Biloxi, passed away May 19, 2021.
Ron was the son of Hilda and John Joseph "Specks" Pierotich. He graduated from Notre Dame High School's class of 1953. Following graduation, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He married his high school sweetheart, Judy Ewing, on June 26, 1955, and settled in Biloxi where they raised their family. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2005. Ron was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a past president of the Biloxi Port Commission. Mr. Ron was an entrepreneur from an early age and had been in the the vending/amusement business and later in the package store business. He found his niche in the souvenir and gifts business when he opened Lighthouse Gift Shop. He later formed a partnership with his son JJ and created what is now Sharkheads and Souvenir City, both still in operation.
He is predeceased by his wife, Judith Ewing Pierotich; his son, Mark Anthony "Doby" Pierotich; his parents; and his sister, Maxine Pierotich Kittinger.
He is survived by his son, John Joseph "JJ" Pierotich (Cathie); his daughter, Jennifer Pierotich Drawdy; three grandchildren, Jonathan Brent Pierotich, Melissa Pierotich Denmark (Chase), and Devin Marie Drawdy; along with several nieces and nephews.
Nothing made him happier than living long enough to meet his great-grandchildren, Patrick and Juliana Denmark.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi, MS. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at at 1:00 pm. Entombment will be at Southern Memorial Park with a reception honoring Ron's life at the Slavonian Lodge after the committal.
