Rodney Clay ""Mac"" McCall, Sr., age 70, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016, in Gulfport.
Mr. McCall was born in Dayton, OH, to Alva Clyde and Ruth Farmer McCall. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Post Office as a supervisor. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing, and he was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. On summer weekends, he enjoyed spending time on his boat, The Ms. ""Boo"" ligerent, visiting Grasshopper Island in Back Bay with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Rodney Clay McCall, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Danika McCall of Ocean Springs, and Dejon McCall of Gulfport; his mother, Ruth Farmer Thornton of Vermont; his grandsons, McGuire ""Mac"" McCall and Noah Apostolopoulos; his brothers and sisters; and his former wife of 25 years and mother of his children, Belinda ""Boo"" McCall Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm on Monday, November 21, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Burial with military honors will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
