Roddie D. Bilbo

Roddie D. Bilbo, 69, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Bilbo was the son of Eran Necaise Cuevas and her husband, Sonny (who was like a father to Roddie), and Cecil Bilbo.
Roddie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and who never met a stranger. He touched many lives with his knowledge of hunting and fishing. Many stories have been shared and will continue to be shared by those he came in contact with. Even during his illness, he was always concerned about others' health and well-being.
Roddie served in the National Guard, 135th, and he received an award at the Maritime Museum for saving many lives during Hurricane Camille. Roddie was retired from Stennis Space Center.
Roddie was preceded his death by mother, Eran Necaise Cuevas; father, Cecil Bilbo; and his son, Darin Bilbo.
He is survived by his wife, Lyndall Schindler Bilbo; daughter, Rhonda B. Duprey and husband, Scottie; grandsons, Bryce and Chase Duprey; siblings, Dale Bilbo, Ken Hyatt and Matt Cuevas; and a host of loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus, Laura Rhode, and the nursing staff at Hancock Medical Center.
Friends are invited to visit with the Bilbo family on Monday, September 7th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 Noon at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian.
