Roberta Sizemore

Roberta Sizemore, age 85, of Gulfport, peacefully passed on to heaven on Friday, December 6, 2019, leaving behind her six children, four step-children, four grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Born in Wisconsin June 1934, she moved to the Gulf Coast in 1967 with her husband Melvin W. Hanson whom she lost to an auto accident in 1968. Roberta was married to John Sizemore for 44 years who passed in 2012.  She worked at Gayfer’s for 20 years before retiring and traveling the north American continent with her husband, John.

Roberta, who was from a family of 12, is survived by four siblings, Joan Brierly, Janis Olson, Lorna Parks and Donald Sargent. Roberta was a strong woman who set boundaries and rules, demanded and gave respect. She was very supportive of her children but, most of all, she was a selfless, loving person who sacrificed much for her children. Her family will sincerely miss her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019, at 11:00am, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, MS. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00am. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
