Roberta Irene Holder

Roberta Irene Holder (Wilson), called Roby her close family and friends, went to her eternal reward on January 17, 2009.
She was born May 28, 1918 in Nancy, Kentucky to McHenry and Ruth Ellen Wilson, and graduated from Somerset High School in 1935. Roby was married to Harold Roy Holder Sr. on April 16, 1939. They lived most of their lives in Wyandotte, Michigan before retiring to Hersey, Michigan. In 1990 they moved to Pascagoula, Mississippi to be close to their son and his family. However, shortly afterward, Mr. Holder passed away and Roberta moved to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where her son and daughter-in-law reside. Roberta was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She also worked outside the home at Federal Department Stores, Sears & Roebuck and Montgomery Wards. She was a born again Christian and was always active in her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Roy, and a baby daughter, Lynn.
Mrs. Holder will be dearly missed by her children, Harold, and his wife, Joy Holder Jr., Margaret Larsen, and Merrilee Pittaway and her husband, Donald. She is also survived by six grandsons and six great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 2:00 PM where the family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM at the Somerset Undertaking Company in Somerset, Kentucky. Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, West Somerset, Kentucky. Please see the online guestbook at www.somersetundertaking.com.
