Robert ""Bob"" Vogt, age 83, of Long Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015.
Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA, to David and Rose Vogt. He faithfully served our country in the United States Navy from 1951-1953. He then owned and operated a successful photography business in Long Beach, Gulfport Photo-Movie Service, with his father, David Vogt. The business prospered for over 45 years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge # 978 in Gulfport. He will be remembered for his unique, quick wit, and he always had a joke or story to tell.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda Vogt, and his parents, David Vogt, and Rose Kurtzberg Vogt.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hicks Vogt of Long Beach; children, Cindy Vogt Rogers (Mark Bridges) of Long Beach, and Bobby Vogt (Cindy Ann) of Long Beach; sister, Elaine Vogt Ehlers (Vernon); grandchildren, Rani Vonder Bruegge (Chip), and Zach Vogt (Kerri); great granddaughter, Zoie Vogt; one expected great grandchild, Rhett Vonder Bruegge; nieces, Lori Ehlers and Donna Naghshpour; great nieces, Kaylie and Emily Naghshpour.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 14, 2015, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 1:00-3:00 pm.
Graveside service will follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
