Robert A VanOsdol, 67, of Long Beach, MS passed away on May 31, 2016
Bob was born in Arlington, IN to Robert and Maxine (Lee) VanOsdol. He received his Bachelor's in Education from Indiana State University and his Master's in Education from the University of St. Francis. He had also obtained his Administrative Degree in education from Indiana University.
After a 32 year career in education Bob retired and relocated to Long Beach. While living on the gulf coast he spent countless hours supporting his grandchildren at football, basketball, baseball and softball games. He attended CrossPoint Church in Gulfport. Bob loved his church, family and friends.
He is survived by a daughter Amy (Alex) Brady and his grandchildren Ashlyn, Alivia and Will Brady all of Long Beach. He is also survived by a brother, David, a sister, Betty Jane, four nieces and 2 nephews.
A Celebration of Life scrimmage game honoring Bob's life is scheduled for 6 pm Wednesday, June 29th. The event is being held at the Long Beach softball fields located at 780 Klondyke Rd, Long Beach, MS.
