Robert ""Bob"" L. Thornton, 81, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Gulfport.
Bob was veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sargent after 22 years of service. He then worked as a Radio Communications Engineer.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryne M. Thornton. Survivors include his 3 children, Marcia L. Ladner (Burnell J. Ladner, Deceased), Robert L. Thornton, Jr. (Annie) and Roy E. Thornton (Judy); sister, Matilda Cooper; grandchildren, Melodie Browder, Randy Ladner, Brent Ladner, Laurel Boone, Jacob Thornton and Nathan Thornton; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with the funeral service following at 11:30 a.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
