Robert W. Tannehill

Robert W. Tannehill, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, in Saucier, Mississippi, at the age of 84. Born on November 1, 1940, in Laurel, Mississippi, Robert’s life was rich with achievements, love, and devotion to his family.

Robert attended college for four years, laying a foundation that would serve him well throughout his professional life. His commitment to excellence led him to proudly serve in the Air Force, a service that he cherished and spoke of with pride.

In addition to his military service, Robert was an accomplished businessman. He founded a company named Rodan, which blossomed into a highly successful enterprise. This venture was a reflection of his entrepreneurial spirit and determination.

Throughout his life, Robert dedicated time to activities that brought him joy. He played football in high school, an experience that shaped his competitive spirit and teamwork. He enjoyed golfing, boating, baking desserts, and reading, all of which were pursuits that brought him happiness and fulfillment.

His political beliefs were also an important part of who he was. A staunch Republican and a big supporter of Donald Trump, Robert engaged in lively discussions about politics and shared his views passionately.

Robert leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his child, James Tannehill; his siblings, Carolynn Tannehill Webb, Deborah Tannehill Mourain (Michael), and Marilyn Tannehill Mourain (Buck); his grandchildren, Sarah Greer, Anna Tannehill, and Britt Nissan; and his great-grandchildren, Heidi, Ford, Robert, Magnus, and Caroline. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Danielle Tannehill; his parents, Vivian and Magnus Tannehill; and his brothers, Raymond and William (Billy) Tannehill.

As we remember Robert W. Tannehill, we honor a man who lived a purposeful life full of love, family, and unwavering dedication to his values. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and he will be missed dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
