Robert Steven Smith, 81, of Gulfport, MS, left this world to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
Mr. Smith was a born in Oberlin, LA, and retired to San Antonio, TX, before moving to the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS, in 2010. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn (Hinton) and John Theogene Smith; his wife, Margarete (Eitelberg) Smith, and his brothers, Willis Smith, John Smith and William ""Billy"" Smith.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Mann and her husband Henry.
Per his wishes, there will be no ceremony and his cremains will be interred with his wife at Ft. Sam National Cemetery, in San Antonio, Texas.
