Robert Roy Culpepper, Jr.

Robert Roy Culpepper, Jr., age 80, of Gulfport, passed away on July 1, 2023.

Robert was a native of Laurel, MS.  He retired from the Gulfport Police Department as a Community Service Tec.

Roy’s wish was to gift his body to the University of Tennessee Medical Research Center.  The Center was honored to accept his generous gift. 

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Melba and Robert Culpepper, Sr.; his son, Robert Kevin Culpepper; and his brother, Randall Culpepper.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Culpepper; his children, Alesia Deschamp (Randy), Laura Pecoul (Jon), and David Culpepper (Rachel);  his brother, Mickey Culpepper (Sharon); his grandchildren, Casey Moreno, Johnny Spencer, Devon Culpepper, Gage Babin, Noah Pecoul, Ansley Pecoul, Ivy Pecoul, Challie Culpepper, Fern Culpepper, Ogden Williams, and Finn Williams;  his great grandchildren, Adrian Moreno, Ava Moreno, Chloe Spencer, John Ray “Sully” Spencer; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
