Robert James Menna, Sr.

Robert James Menna, Sr., age 77, passed away on March 24, 2024 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Frank Menna and Carrie Camille Ryan Menna, and worked as a self employed general contractor. He served the country for 2 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, and 4 years in the Army National Guard. Robert attended Rodenburg Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing in his free time. He was a wonderful husband and father. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Camille Menna; three brothers, Lloyd Menna, William Menna, and Glen Menna; and his son, Robert “Jamie” James Menna, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Anding Menna of Biloxi; three children, Dawn Rene Brault, Sean Menna (Melissa), and Frank Menna (Amy Simon); 14 grandchildren, Anita Lugo, Rachel Clark, Tracy Herro, Robert James Menna III, Alisea Menna, Caitlyn Menna, Dakota Menna, Blake Gerald, Kerrigan Menna, Allysa Mabanta, Madison Royston, Simon Randall, Charlotte Menna, and Kalyn A Landreth; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Menna Tharpe; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS. Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS. All family and friends are invited to join the family back for a Celebration of Life Reception from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home’s reception center.
