Robert Edwards

Robert Lawrence Edwards, age 54, passed away on May 17, 2021 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Formerly of Elk Grove, IL.

He is survived by his spouse, Alice Schaefer; parents, Larry and Betty Edwards; sisters, Beth (Michael) Genender and Gwen Edwards; niece, Zowie Genender; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and close friend, Peter Barnett.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Ora Magoon, and Harold and Marion Edwards; and his many beloved boxers, Kira, Sam, Stormy, Blitzy, Rocco, Durango and Stewart.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois and enjoyed the Chicago Blackhawks, Nascar, golf and woodworking. He was also an avid Trekkie and sci-fi fan. Robert had a great big heart and was a compassionate animal lover.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chicago.
