Robert ""Bob"" L. Elliott, Sr. 83, of Kiln, MS passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Lois I. Elliott, and 6 children: Robert L. Elliott, Jr. (Karen), Margie Holbrook (Doug), James Elliott, Laura Brown, Marilyn Morris, and John Elliott (Teresa). He also had 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Bob was a proud retired decorated Devil Dog serving in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years, receiving 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star Combat V award. His second career was with ADM. After retiring from there he worked most recently at the Silver Slipper Casino.
He was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years. He volunteered also as a Fire Fighter and EMT. Bob was a giving man.
His hobbies included being outdoors working in his yard. He also loved to fish, camp, and checking out cookbooks for recipes that he would ask his sweet ""Babe"" to fix for him.
He will be missed, yet has left a legacy.
