Robert worked alongside his father until taking over the family-owned heating and A/C business, Adolph Bourdin, Inc. He eventually passed the business down to 3 of his children. While an instructor at PRC in Poplarville, then later at MGCCC – Jeff Davis Campus, Robert’s students earned various state and national VICA competition honors.

His favorite past-time became gardening. He loved selling his produce and honey at the farmer’s market. The camellia was his favorite flowering plant. He became a member of the MSGC Camellia Society, where he placed some of his prize blooms in their annual show.
