Robert Wayne Andersen, Sr. passed away on May 17, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 75. Born on August 15, 1949, Robert dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce. His military career saw him stationed at multiple bases across the United States and in Germany, showcasing his steadfast commitment and dedication to the ideals of service.
Robert was a passionate individual with a variety of interests. He was particularly fond of motorcycles and was an avid fan of science fiction, which enriched his life and the lives of those around him. Above all, Robert cherished family, and his most proud accomplishment was the deep love he held for his grandchildren. He often spoke with joy about the time spent with them, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Robert is survived by his loving children, Robert Anderson (Karen) and Robin Anderson; siblings, Scott Anderson (Esther) and Michele Anderson Gulley (Barry); as well as his grandchildren, Nathan Robert Anderson, Joshua Smith, TJ Smith, Dekayven Wash, and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Rose Marie Andersen, as well as his brother, Charlie Andersen, and sister, Marjorie Miller.
A graveside service will be held on June 2, 2025, at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Mississippi, beginning at 11:00 AM with full Military Honors and Reverend Ben Barlow officiating.
