Rita Mae Hammerstone Zeringue, age 61, a native of New Orleans, LA, and a resident of Pass Christian, MS, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Hammerstone; her mother, Jean Hammerstone; her two sisters, Betty Fide II and Maria Hammerstone.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, David J. Zeringue, Jr.; her children, Gloria Craig (James), and David Zeringue III. (Aimee); her grandchildren, Glenn E. Griffin Jr, Garrett M. Griffin, and David J. Zeringue, IV.; one sister, Brenda Cooks; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rita loved being a stay at home wife and mother. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting, shopping and most of all spending time with her family.
Rita was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She will be forever in our hearts and always in our thoughts and prayers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bay St. Louis. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road Gulfport, served the family.
