Rita Belle Meyers, age 91, of Gulfport, Mississippi, entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Palmetto, Louisiana, Rita was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. A proud high school graduate, she lived a life centered on love, sacrifice, and service. As a Navy wife and mother, she faithfully supported her family through every season of life, always placing their needs before her own.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Whitney Meyers.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Kenneth Wayne Meyers and his wife, Carol, and Darren Scott Meyers and his wife, Renee. Rita will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the warmth she shared so freely. She found joy in life’s simple blessings, including bowling and fellowship through the CPO Wives Club, where she formed many dear friendships.

Rita’s life was a reflection of faith, love, and devotion. Her legacy of compassion and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice in Gulfport, Mississippi, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in memory of Rita and Whitney Meyers.
