Rita Dyer

Rita Frances Dyer, US Army Major, Retired, age 70, resident of Ocean Springs, was called home on November 29, 2017 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Rita served in the US Army in Active Duty for four years and Army Reserve for 18 years, during which she served as a registered nurse at the VA Medical System. She retired after 25 years as a nurse.
She attended the University of Phoenix where she earned her Master's Degree in Nursing Administration.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Clyde Williams, Sr. and Frances Adair Hahn; and step-father, Jesse Embry Hahn.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd D. Dyer; three children, Tonya Marie Wild of Picayune, Michelle Lee Conley (Kieran) of Ocean Springs, Michael Thomas Belcourt, Jr. (Crystal), Kuna, ID; three step-daughters, Linette, Stephanie, and Julie; three brothers, Edgar Clyde Williams, Jr. (Sherry), David Lee Williams (Michele), Danny Hahn (Mary); one sister, Ruby Lenora Drieling (George); eight grandchildren, Devin, Madison, Emily, Makayla, Lacy, Laurel, Michael III, Nathaniel; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 10 AM - 12 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. West Jackson County. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all of the staff and doctors at Ocean Springs Hospital, Medical ICU and 2nd Floor West.
