Rigsby Broome, age 66, of Perkinston, passed away on November 13, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of six years, Pamela Broome; his parents, Vernon and Tressie Broome; his children, Gene Broome (Morgan), DeAnna Peters (Robert), Allen Broome (Angie), and Darin Broome; his stepson, John Brownfield (Jenny); his siblings, Melton Broome (Mary), Darrell Broome, Carol Pav (John), and Mark Broome; his grandchildren, MacKenzie Broome, Micah Fountain, Annabell Broome, Jesse Broome, Chloe Peters, Brandon Broome, Brett Allday, and Victoria Allday; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rigsby served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War and was a Bronze Star recipient. He was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Wiggins.
He enjoyed camping and fishing along the rivers of the Coast. He was especially proud of his '99 Fatboy motorcycle and enjoyed riding with his wife and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Wiggins, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial with military honors will follow at 1:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception following the graveside service at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
