Richard Brian Powell, age 36, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
Brian was an avid football fan, faithfully pulling for his LSU tigers and Saints. He was a thrill seeker, loved roller coasters, and was a great cook. He worked as an electrical apprentice. He loved spending time with his children and watching them play soccer and other activities.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nora and Leo Necaise, Thelma Dedebant, Jack Worgan, Walter Johnston, and Tellis Powell; siblings, Steve Birriam Powell, Jr. and Louis Anthony Powell.
He is survived by his children, Ethan Powell, Aidan Powell, Gavin Siracusa, and Angelina Powell; his parents, Kim and Steve B. Powell, Sr. and Cathy and Mark Bort; sister, Catrina Ladner (Heath); grandmothers, Grace Johnston and Lola Powell; and his companion, Donna Manieri.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow at First Free Church of God Cemetery.
