Richard B. Peterson, age 84 and a resident of Diamondhead, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Gulfport.
Mr. Peterson served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and was then employed for 35 years with the U.S. Federal Government.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur, Sr. & Audrey Peterson; his son, Randy Peterson; his brothers, Cedric Peterson and Arthur Peterson, Jr. and his sisters, Margaret Uphoff and Effie Fayard.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Carol L. Gormley-Peterson of Diamondhead; his sons, Richard Thomas ""Tom"" (Cynthia) Peterson, Roger Peterson, and Ross (Tammy) Peterson all of California; several grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 1:30pm at Biloxi National Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, served the family.
