Richard Martin

Richard “Dickie” Martin Jr., age 52, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Born in Gulfport, and raised in Pascagoula, Dickie was a proud graduate of D'Iberville High School. Over the years, he worked as a Shipping Coordinator at Signal and also brought his big smile and friendly energy to the IP Casino, where he worked as a Blackjack Dealer.

A lifelong lover of music, Dickie found his true rhythm behind a drum set, playing in heavy metal bands and sharing his passion with those around him. He was a true artist at heart, whether he was bass fishing by the water, sketching and drawing, or lighting up the grill for one of his famous steak and baked potato dinners. He lived life with creativity, humor, and a deep love for his family.

Dickie was preceded in death by his father, Richard Martin Sr., and his siblings, Deanna Martin and Clinton Richard.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Dolly Lawrence; his children, Kayla Martin (Tony Clausell Jr), Jessica Martin, Kyle Martin, and Haven Martin; and his grandchildren, Harmony Clausell, Tony Clausell III, Jaide Colvin, and Beckett Etheridge. He is also survived by his brother, Scott Martin; and by many nieces and nephews, including Jagger Martin, Xander Martin, and Holly Vice. Dickie will be deeply missed by a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who knew and loved him.

A visitation celebrating Dickie’s life will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, Ocean Springs. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel. He will be laid to rest at Cruthirds Memorial Gardens, 1511 Cruthirds Rd., Vancleave, Mississippi. A repast/reception will be held at D'Iberville Community Center ,10453 Lamey Bridge Rd.

Dickie’s laughter, music, and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
