Richard Wayne Gable

Richard Wayne Gable, age 63 of Lyman, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Gable; his mother, Maxine Necaise (Buffington); his granddaughter, Ma’leah Bush; his brothers, Thomas Gable and Ronnie Lynn Gable and his grandmother, Grace Gable.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl Gable; his children, Patrick Gable and Rita Ball (DeLaun); his sister, Margaret Kendall; his grandchildren, Jada Bush, Mikah Gable, Olivia Miller, Levi Ball, and Alyvia Ball; his brother and sister-in-law, Kendall and Laura Falana; his sister-in-law, Melissa Clark and his mother-in-law, Andrea Hay.

He loved fishing, woodworking, always having a cup of coffee, coin collecting, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids and family. You will be missed by all your family down here and to know you was to know a truly good-hearted man. Richard never met a stranger. His kindness, humor and generosity left an impression on everyone who knew him. Whether on the water or with family and friends, Richard had a way of making people feel welcomed and loved. He will be remembered as a devoted son, father, and friend whose presence touched countless lives. Everyone who knew Richard loved him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
