Richard H. "Dick" Dambrino

Richard H. (Dick) Dambrino, Pop, passed away on October 11, 2013 in Gulfport.
Pop was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Verna Mae (Bunny) Dambrino; a son, Steven A. Dambrino; his parents, Hattie Cleo Smith and Robert J. Dambrino; and siblings, Esther Jane Seymour and Robert J. Dambrino, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Richard H. Dambrino, Jr (Judy) and Connie Sue Spivey (Paul); six grandchildren, Rick Dambrino, Joe (Consuela) Dambrino, Rob (Tabatha) Dambrino, Tony (Dawn) Spivey, Paula (Chris) Lacoste, and Theresa (James) Snell; twelve great grandchildren; and sister in law, Bekka Switzer (Jim).
Pop loved his Lord and Savior and he fought the hard fight and has gone to rock on the front porch of life with Bunny, Hattie, Poppa Bob, Dee Dee, and Squirt.
He retired from Entex (United Gas Corp.) as a construction foreman after 40 years of employment. He was a lifetime Master Mason, Polar Star Lodge #154, Handsboro; PM and lifetime member of Eastern Star, Gulfport.
He served proudly in the U.S. Army / Air Corp during World War II (European Campaign) and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves (Seabees) after returning from WWII; he was honorably discharged from both. He attended Syracuse University. Pop was an active member and supporter of Gateway United Methodist and earlier of the Handsboro United Methodist Church.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Gateway United Methodist Church, Gulfport with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
