Rexine Jones

Rexine Gurtha Jones, age 87 of Gulfport, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023.

Rexine was a life-long resident of Gulfport, MS. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Rexine enjoyed crafting, gardening, fishing, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, George N. Jones; parents, Rex and Gurtha Jones; and siblings, Robert Jones, Margaret Massa, Kenneth Jones, Earl Jones, and Ethel Ford.

Rexine is survived by her children, Patty Monroe (Ken), Margaret Van Alstyne (Bill), Steven Jones, Tommy Jones (Becky), Kathy Martin, and Debbie Tucker (Jack); grandchildren, William, Melanie, Tiphanie, Jason, Bryan, Guy, Christopher, Jacquelyn, Alan, Kendrah, Lyndie, and Jessica; 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and her brother, Cecil Jones.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in her memory.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitations and the service. The first visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The second visitation will be 9:30 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1410 East 2nd Street, Pass Christian, MS. A funeral service will be after the visitation at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
