Regina Kay Strickland

Regina Kay Strickland, resident of Saucier, age 56, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014.
Regina was born in Waynesboro, MS to Jerry and Betty Taylor Towery. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyman where she directed the backpack ministry and retired from the Harrison County School District after 25 years of service. She dedicated her life to her family and cherished the time spent following her grandchildren to their events and being a part of their lives.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arlin and Nellie Towery and Bob and Lillian Taylor; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Betty Strickland.
Regina is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harry Strickland of Saucier; her parents, Jerry and Betty Towery of Gulfport; her children, Wesley (Terese) Strickland of Saucier, and Lindsey (Chris) Grantham of Gulfport; her brother, Bobby (Kim) Towery of Charlotte, NC; brothers-in-law, Van (Fe) Strickland of Gulfport, and Steve (Dana) Strickland of Gulfport; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Caillavet, Megan Hammontree, Hunter Hammontree, Kennedy and Connor Grantham; and an extended family and many friends.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, with a service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Harrison County School District and all of her co-workers for their kindness and generosity during her extended illness.
