Raymond Turan, age 88, of Gulfport, passed away on April 15, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Curry Turan and James Monroe Turan; a son, Kevin Turan; two sisters, Irene Manuel and Avanelle Besse; and a brother, J.L. Turan.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Hilton and her husband, Chuck, of Gulfport; a son, Steve Turan of Saucier; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Raymond spent his work career as a home builder and carpenter. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and enjoyed his time living on the Biloxi River. He loved his family and many friends.
Memorial donations may be made to: The Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501.
A private family graveside service will be held at Coalville Cemetery, Woolmarket.
