Mr. Raymond Grant ""Bop"" Pierre, age 99, passed Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Chapman Oaks Nursing Home.
Mr. Pierre was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served in Pearl Harbor in World War II. He retired after 29 years as a Lt. Commander of the Navy.
Mr. Pierre was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie L. Pierre, daughter, Stephanie J. Pierre Herring and son, Anthony Scott Pierre.
He is survived by his three grandchildren, Marissa P. Lang (husband Erik), Justin Randy Herring (wife Ashley), and Adam Joseph Herring (Lauren); and two great-grandchildren, Abram Herring and Harper Herring.
He was an amazing grandfather and he will be greatly missed. His wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
