Raymond Paul Moran

Raymond Paul Moran Jr. born on February 11, 1928 lived a full and happy life and on Sunday, April 3, 2016 he moved on to learn the answers to the questions he had in life.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Florence Moran and also his two sisters, Hazel and Evelyn.
Ray is survived by his beautiful bride of 37 years, Marilyn ""June"" Moran. She was the love of his life. Their children include Terrance and his wife Donna Moran, Rose and her husband Alan Chervitz, Pat and his wife Gail Moran, Melinda and her husband Mark DeFreece, and Whitley and her husband Steve Kanter and several grandchildren.
Born in Irvington, New Jersey, Ray served his country for 22 years, retiring as a major in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he began a second career as a claims adjuster with Aetna Life & Casualty.
Hobbies include golf, scuba diving, astronomy, traveling, reading and following politics. He was a man of enormous compassion for people and animals alike. Everyone who knew him, to include all the sweet neighborhood dogs he befriended along the way, will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:15 a.m. A graveside service with full military honors will be offered at Biloxi National Cemetery promptly at 12:30 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join us back at Moran Manor for a continued celebration of life get-together to share tall tales and short stories about the man we all loved.
